Port of Ramsgate is host to a number of exciting events throughout the year. Here are just some of the local events:


European Waterski Championships 5 - 12 July 2008 Ramsgate will host the European Waterski Championships and it is expected that 70 top water skiers from Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Spain will take part in this week long event. Visitors will be able to enjoy the thrills and excitement of racing, which will take place on Sunday 6th, Tuesday 8th, Thursday 10th and the final racing day on Saturday 12th July. Visitors will also be able to take a break from this excellant spectator sport to enjoy the waterside festival including, live entertainment.
Ramsgate Week Annual Regatta (11 - 16 August 2008) Ramsgate Week, attracts an international field of competitors. Prizes on offer include the prestigious Ramsgate Gold Cup, which is raced for on the last day with all yachts sailing the same course and the Queen Elizabeth Cup, which is raced for on the Friday and presented to the overall winner on the day. The event will include entertainment and corporate hospitality by the Royal Temple Yacht Club.
RNLI Trawler Race & Open Day Sunday 24 August 2008 - 9am onwards Trawler race starts 2pm. The Boat and Boathouse will be open to public.
Ramsgate Costumed Walks Royal Harbour Tours 8 July at 7pm 12 August at 2.30pm History brought to life in this very popular event. Guided tours will take place surrounding the historic Ramsgate Harbour at no charge. Meeting place Pier Yard. For further information call Janet Reid on 01843 580832
